About Dragonstreet Photography

I'm David Vercruysse, an artist photographer living in France, near Provins in Seine et Marne.

After growing up in nature, studying biology, biochemistry, osteopathy and traditional Chinese medicine, my life has always been in harmony and symbiosis with nature. 

Through my photos, I want to move people, challenge them and encourage them to rediscover themselves, by reconnecting with nature and their past. 

In my view, the link and relationship that people have with their environment is what defines them. It determines our balance, our well-being and our place in nature.

What's more, these environmental links forged over time and history are the roots of its current existence, its survival, its health and its presence.

My aim is to encourage the observer to open up, to rediscover a sense of fulfilment and inner peace, and above all of communion with nature and the history of humanity. Let's rediscover our balance on this earth!

So it was only natural that I should specialise in this type of photography, through my studies, research and travels and the discovery of different regions, countries and their histories.

In my photos, I want you to find landscapes, historical links, the breath of plants, the soul of animals, all in a nostalgic, fantastic, old-fashioned, sometimes textured style.
